    A detailed and honest review.

    I'm a buyer for our clothing business which is a good size with some shops and an online presence. As owner of the business, I took us down the vintage/old clothes path because I myself enjoy going through bales and seeing interesting items. For it to be viable however, we of course need to turn a profit. Put it this way, if we can't turn a profit on items then very few could or it's not profitable at all.

    One problem with fleek is the wholesalers. Many of these are just individuals who get hold of various stock, bundle them together and sell them on. For some reason greed kicks in with these wholesalers who, even though they have very little experience of being the end retailer, will try selling things at silly prices because they want as much money as possible. They seem to forget that as a wholesaler, they have to sell things to allow retailers to make a profit. Some 90% of listings will be sold as a "wholesale" lot but their prices per piece will be pretty much at the maximum going rate that retailers can sell them for.

    This all means that fleek is a marketplace to suck those with very little experience in (who have the naive belief of building some business empire) to pay silly prices for some stock and when it arrives with them, they list items and realise it's break even at best. They learn a hard lesson and give up. It's like a rotating door, one sucker in, out and the next comes along. That's how the platform survives.
