Misleading signup page that makes you think you can simply convert one doc, but then signs you up for a recurring subscription which you cannot change on their site. There is no way to update or view your billing details. You don't get any confirmation emails. The payment details on your bank reference idealpdf in Geneva.

To unsubscribe, you must sign a PDF form(!) and return it to them. Stay away!

Totally agree, I wish I had read the bad comments before I triedit. It’s a FRAUD. I have just un- subscribed but they don’t get the money back and I cannot use it because I don’t have an account or password.

The same happened to me, they took out £1 for my conversion and a week later they took out £29.90 from my account without me signing for any subscription. Please stay away they are frauds and you can contact them on their website.

I can confirm that PDFSmart make it extremely difficult (on purpose) to find a way to unsubscribe. They have been taking £29.90 per month for several months now and I am sure they will refuse any refunds even though I have not used their software.

So this is cybercrime. They ought to be investigated by the authorities. The TrustPilot score is mid-leading too.

They have been taking 49.99 pounds from my account. Before I activated my account I did check if it the payment is taken for each service or if there will be a trial period. Nothing was mentioned about a subscription following the trial period, therefore after 7 days I was charged with the above amount. I tried to ask for a refund but unsuccessful. I managed to contact fraud team from my bank but I will never get this amount back, unfortunately. If I could give them 0 stars I would, but unfortunately this site won't let me post the comment!

I signed up for a 7-day trial of this PDF converter and paid £1.99. I tested it once, found it unsatisfactory, and didn't use it again. Unfortunately, I missed the cancellation window by a single day and was immediately charged £49.99.
I contacted customer support to request a refund, explaining I hadn't used the service and that I was within my consumer rights to cancel. They flatly refused, despite UK law allowing a 14-day cooling-off period for digital services under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
This company clearly hides behind rigid terms and shows no flexibility or fairness, even in obvious cases like mine. Their customer service is dismissive and unhelpful.
I've now taken steps to dispute the charge with my bank and reported this to Trading Standards. I strongly recommend avoiding this company.
