Rating:I encountered issues while staying at a room I booked through their platform. The listing promised an individual lock, but upon arrival, the lock was broken. The landlord couldn't fix it immediately and asked me to wait for 2-3 days. Due to concerns about the safety of my valuables, I had to cancel the booking. I reached out to their team for a refund of the service fee, as their terms stated that I could get a refund if the listing didn't match the actual housing. However, they refused, claiming lack of proof about the lock issue. I provided photo evidence, but they dismissed it, stating it could be easily fixed. I expressed worries about my valuables' safety, and despite emailing them since June, I only received a call today from someone named Curtis. Unfortunately, the conversation with Curtis was rude and unprofessional. This experience makes me question their service quality and raises concerns about their refund policies.

Rating:Lying, coercive and overcharging landlord Roomys / Doas GmbH
I had the great misfortune of staying with a Housing Anywhere listed company called Doas GmbH aka Roomys.de in Berlin. Right off the bat, their contract was as coercive and harsh as possible, and they only send it to you one day after you have sent them the deposit money. I showed the contract to my lawyer who suggested me to not sign it. When I asked them to cancel my application citing this, they refused. I escalated this with HousingAnywhere but they refused as well. Let me emphasize this -- HousingAnywhere will excuse itself out whenever you need them and side with their actual customers -- the rental companies. Finding no other way to recoup 1100€, I decided to stay with them for the minimum 3 months. They offer you absolutely cheapest possible furniture & kitchen, a small room, charging a large sum of money, and hand you the keys only after you sign a form which says you'll leave within a year (hence bypassing German rental regulations for rent limits). Then they keep sending you passive aggressive threatening emails. Finally, they charged me 100€ for making their shitty blanket and mattress "dirty" which was already quite bad when I first moved in there, and in no way should be passed onto subsequent tenants. They are as bad as they sound, and quite frankly, the employees at Doas / Roomys are a bunch of losers who couldn't possibly make it anywhere else.
