Rating:I'm writing to share my experience with Pluto Pets (owned by Dog Science LLC) so other consumers are aware before purchasing.
In August 2025, Pluto Pets sent me a duplicate shipment by mistake. Their customer service confirmed the error and instructed me to return the product so they could issue a full refund. I followed their directions exactly and returned the items using the shipping label they provided.
After that, I received several emails from their representative confirming that the refund had been "processed" and would be issued within a few days. I was also told explicitly that the restocking fee would be refunded as promised.
However, despite those written assurances, Pluto Pets only issued a partial refund and withheld 35% as a "restocking fee." This fee was never disclosed at any point before or during the return process -- not in their emails, nor in the return instructions they sent. I did not initiate this return voluntarily; it was done at their request to correct their own fulfillment mistake.
When I raised this issue again, Pluto Pets admitted that their earlier language was "unclear" but refused to correct the refund, citing a blanket policy after the fact. Retaining both the returned product and a portion of the payment under those circumstances is unethical and misleading.
For anyone considering doing business with this company, I strongly advise caution. Their current BBB rating is "F, which appears consistent with my experience.

Rating:I am currently in dispute with this company- thank you for providing the information regarding the ultimate owners ( Dog Science LLC). I have now identified the CEO ( Mr Parker) and have contacted him via the Linked In website. I have not gone into detail with my complaint but have informed that my correspondence via numerous emails with Plutopets will be readily available, and that pursuant to consulting it, the avenue to resolution will be clear and obvious. If such a resolution is not forthcoming ,then I will explore all avenues in order to obtain satisfaction.
