Rating:Be carful and stay away of this website , they took our money and when we decided to cancel the reservation they said yes then next day after we called the hotel and cancel the reservation they started making it hard on us to keep our money , I put them on there way call with the hotel and the hotel approved the cancellation and they started to ask the hotel for documents that I've never heard before , even the hotel supervisor told them why you making it hard on your customer ?!!! Even the hotel didn't get a penny of the money we paid hotel in America site , They refused to call or email the hotel to make sure the reservation is canceled, we recorded the phone call and it will be on internet soon to show everyone one how they trying to keep our money after the hotel cancel the reservation

Rating:Short Version: Scammers all the way
tldr;
Long Version: I bought a reservation through hotelsinamerica.com because the advertised rate was $15 lower than other 3rd party services, and used a debit card/credit card to pay for it.
At the hotel, I was given a room that turned out to have bed bugs, and I proved it to the staff at the hotel, and I packed up and left the hotel immediately.
Within a day, the hotel had credited hotelsinamerica.com all the monies they had paid on my behalf for the reservation, and provided me with a detailed listing, including the credit card number, of the monies being returned to hotelsinamerica.com.
That part was easy. Getting my monies returned to me was the hard part.
I filed a complaint with hotelsinamerica.com, which had to be done online and include a PDF, which I provided. But, the PDF I provided was the invoice, which was not good enough for them, they required a letter! from the hotel saying they were authorizing a refund. A letter on hotel letterhead with a signature!
So I pestered the hotel for a week, and finally got the letter, and started a new trouble ticket with hotelsinamerica.com, which took a few more days, and was finally accepted, and my monies were returned to me.
Then hotelsinamerica.com charged my debit card a $30 fee for "changing reservations". I yelled and screamed at them about this, I did not change reservations, the bed bugs were not a change, it was services not provided. My example: what if the hotel did not even exist, at... Read more
