    This site is deceiving -

    For non US residents currency is not disclosed until AFTER transaction is completed.
    Then they are not responsive to calls / cancellation etc.
    Fraudulent behaviour - stay away.

    Do not book with this company !
    They charge a "third party fee " for booking your ticket that they do not tell you about.
    I was charged $212.00 over the ticket price that I did not know about. They said my tickets would be issued within 4 hours. Their contract says there are no refunds after tickets are issued.
    No tickets were emailed to me and when I called several hours after the transaction to cancel I was told to call back in the morning. I have called back several times and the calls were always disconnected after I was put on hold.

    Save your money and book directly with an airline. This company scams your money !!

    I (unfortunately) bought a ticket from this Airborntraveler.com. I was supposed to receive a confirmation via e-mail but never did. I waited 3 days and did not receive a confirmation. When I called 1-833-718-7246 I was answered by a person (male I guess) and was unable to hear them. It sounded like a group of people in the background. When I aasked if I was indeed scheduled to fly the person told me to call the airline itself for confirmation. I had difficulty hearing and understanding the person, when I asked the person to speak up I was hung up on. I called back on the same number and received a recorded message to leave name and number someone would call me back, I never got a call back. After another hour or so I called the same 1-833-718-7246 numbere and my call went straight to dial tone. I tried to call several other times and my number had been blocked. I would recommend "DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS AT ALL!".

    SCAM. I thought I was on Air Canada and don't even know how this company took it over. Assuming it was in Canadian funds I booked a ticket. After the fact, it showed as US funds. It said I could cancel within 4 hours. I called the number within 5 minutes and when I said I wanted to cancel they hung up. I called back. The next person put me on hold for 14 minutes and then hung up. Then I called my credit card company and canceled my credit card. Then I called these guys back a 3rd time. Told them I had canceled my credit card and they might as well cancel my ticket. He sent me an email confirmation that they canceled the booking and refunded me -0- dollars. But it said it can take UP TO TWO billing cycles to get your refund. Complete scam.

    I am usually so careful but was not when booking with this company. They took my money but issued no e-ticket and wouldn't answer the phone. Lesson learned! Go with a reputable airline company!

    It’s a SCAM! I booked my flight on Feb 21st and have never received an e ticket. I booked ahead to save money, but now have to pay $150 more for the ticket! I have called repeatedly and either been told the ticket would come in 4 hours, the next day, in 3 days, whatever. They have hung up on me, transferred me and then hung up or never answered at all. The airline said today that they do not have me booked and I’m supposed to leave April 2nd. I’m so mad! BUYERS BEWARE! I WENT ON ALASKA AIRLINES WEBSITE AND, WHEN I WENT TO CHECK OUT, WAS AUTOMATICALLY DIVERTED TO AIRBORNTRAVELER TO PAY!!!!!!!!

    Website is an absolute fucking scam. I bought a flight ticket and the ticket was allegedly canceled. Never received the ticket or my money back. They constantly made excuses as to how it wasnt their fault the flight was canceled (if it ever even existed.) Customer service is immediately hostile and accusatory. Will put you on hold indefinitely or drop your call. NEVER BUY THROUGH THEM.

    Dont trust this site. I waited for my E ticket although they took my money and couldn't commit to when I would get it , 2 hours , 24 hours , and even wrote in an email I would get it SOMETIME. I called and got hung up on . Eventually I got through and they said they would cancel the ticket or I had to pay more for another ticket. I told them that I I did not believe they were a real site . I am waiting for my refund and have contacted my bank who will investigate the payment. I recommend

    STAY AWAY from this site .

    DO NOT TRUST. I accidently booked a flight through them and thought it was United Airlines, I called within 30 minutes to cancel and they hung up on me 3 times and then left me on hold for 20 minutes and then the last time I called, they said something in a foreign language and hung up. They refused a refund even though the website said I had 4 hours. They even laughed on the phone one time before hanging up. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with them!!!!!

    SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!!! BOOKED A FLIGHT, NEVER GOT MY TICKET AND I AM SURE I WILL NOT GET A REFUND. CUSTOMER SERVICE JUST HANGS UP ON ME WHEN I TRY TO GET A HUMAN AND THEY KNOW WHY I AM CALLING. THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE EMAIL JUST SENDS A GENERIC EMAIL RESPONSE FOR EVERY EMAIL. I WILL BE REPORTING TO MY CREDIT CARD PROVIDER FOR INVESTIGATION.

    TOTAL SCAM and how is it that there are all these reviews on this being a scam and it says it is 86% a trusted site?? My mom booked a flight over a month ago and paid for it and they never issued the ticket. I spent all day yesterday on the phone with them only to be told BY THEM that they can do whatever they want and don't owe their customer ANYTHING. Told me there was no supervisor that the all India call center was the only person we can talk to and basically TOUGH LUCK. Stay away and just don't do it!!!

    SCAM, SCAM , SCAM Last minute call about about my flight cancellation took me by surprise (which was not true) I fell prey to buying a much more expensive ticket because it was imperative that I get to my destination. Been emailing and they keep saying a small refund is on its way. Haven’t seen anything yet. I guess they are too busy scamming innocent victims.

    I reserved a flight from Skagway Alaska to Anchorage Alaska. I thought it was high at 1300. for 3 people, but thought I had few options from Skagway. I never received the e-tickets, and after calling the Skagway airport I found that they are so small they service individual charters and seaplanes. Their are no flights. This was on March 16th and I have been trying to get my 1300. back ever since. It is always 2 weeks. They are running a scam.

    This Company is a scam.

    Booked fight never received the E-ticket.

    It is horrible in these times and days where everybody is struggling that you would be faced companies as this sort out scamming people. They never sent the E ticket, they put you on hold and then hang up. They continue to lie and tell you that you’re going to get your ticket and you never see it. I would suggest that you go directly to Airline of your choice and not use these companies trying to get a better rate because they are scams.

    If anyone would like to file a lawsuit against this company let me know I will join in.

    This company is a scam and is guilty of illegal behaviour. I have not yet received my e-tickets after waiting for a whole month; then was given excuse after excuse for their not living up to advertised practices. They did not actually book my flights with the airline, and then charged me double while pretending to book a new flight, apologizing profusely for the airline (which is faultless) for cancelling flights. I thought I was booking directly with Air Canada but to my annoyance found out afterward that I was dealing with a group of scam artists. Far better to deal with the airline directly rather than to be distracted by dishonest dealers like this one. Be very careful when booking online!

    I was scammed as well. Booked a month in advance for a good price. They called two days before flight day to say that they "cannot confirm the flight". When I asked what that meant they said the problem was on their end. I called the airline and the flight was still on but I had to pay over double to rebook on short notice. I doubt I will see a refund. I called to talk to a manager and was hung up on by three different operators. Stay away!

    I bought 2 tickets to fly from Miami to Philadelphia. When I called regarding my e-ticket, I was told that my return flight has been cancelled. Because I had to come back on that date, the agent advised me to cancel every thing and to buy 2 new tickets from him which I did. According to him, that was the only way I could get a refund of $315. It has been 2 months, I haven't received my refund. This is SCAM at the highest level. Can FBI investigate those agents for fraud?

    I truly don't even want to give this company one star. They are a total scam. I've been waiting 2 days from my E ticket. When I called he said he just sent it. I waited till the next morning and never received my E ticket. I'm reading a lot of negative responses to this company. So, I'm canceling my ticket. I don't understand how they can continue to scam people. I thought I was booking with United directly. Somehow, I was redirected to these scammers. With all these bad reviews, how are they still able to continue scamming people. How do we put a stop to this?

    Well.

    Just like all the others, i feel i was misled by the site and then when i tried to contact customer service i got no help. They are very sneaky in how they show you are paying in US dollars and once the transaction is complete, it's too late. The link to how to cancel does not work on their website. Shameful business practise. I paid over 200 dollars more than the ticket should have cost me due to exchange rate in their favor.

    I wish I saw this before I booked 2 airfare tickets with them on April 6 They sent man email telling me that they will send an email with my e-ticket.

    I should have know it was a scam when i got that email.

    I called and emailed them almost everyday a week before departure i get a a lie that Frontier airlines cancelled my flight!!!! I was on the phone with Frontier that morning and they told me that they had our names but the ticket was never printed! Don't ever do business with his company. Now they tell me I have to wait 7-14 for my refund Lets see if that happens

    I wish I would have seen this before!! I booked through them and I received my e- ticket when I was told I would, but after reading the reviews I decided to call Frontier Airlines and they told me that my tickets were not fully paid for and that I needed to pay them before I could board. I showed Frontier my stickers and that they said I was paid in full but I was not, I called the airborne traveler and was hung up on the first time and the second time the lady said that was not true I’m paid in full and if I wanted to I could cancel those tickets for NO REFUND cause of cancellation fees and book another flight if I was not happy but there was nothing else that they could do I could not get a refund or make adjustments to my ticket!!

    Scam. Looks legit. It isn’t. Realized it the next morning when I read these posts and cancelled my credit card which will dispute what I was charged so I won’t be charged. Suggest you do the same. Ugh. And I thought I was tech savvy. You should be able to write a 0 not 1 star for this website!!

    Somehow I reached Airborntraveler.com from the Air Canada site. At no time did i think I was on the Airborn site. They charged US dollars for flights in Canada to a Canadian traveler. Then three days later added a booking fee which was not disclosed. I have disputed it Mastercard and they canceled my card. Don't get caught by these guys. This is definitely a SCAM

    I went to the United Airlines official site to book my ticket. Everything seemed legit until I hit the purchase button. Suddenly, I am no
    longer dealing with United and have been switched to Airborn. I immediately called to cancel. I got a recording. The message said to leave a voicemail and I would get a call from “the first available” reservation agent. After several hours, I called again and left another message. As it got later and later ….I worried more and more. I decided to call again and this time someone actually answered the phone. He answered by saying “hello” and it sounded like he was on a bar or club (lots of background noise and music). I asked if this was Airborn and he said “yeah”. Long story short, he refused to give me his name, his location or his agent number saying “we don’t do that anymore”. (I was a travel agent for 15 years and yes…. They still do that. ( I was trained to always get the person’s name, location and agent number so there would be a place to start if a problem came up with the booking.). And in this case, I made this booking thinking I was dealing directly with United. I told him to cancel and he said he would and I
    that he had sent me a confirming email. That still g
    hasn’t arrived. I have notified my credit card company. This has been a hassle and a waste of precious time and energy. I booked this flight to go to the bedside of a dear friend who is dying of cancer. Shame on them.

    very bad travel site. do not book from here. Recently they canceled my tickets one day before the date without any approval. And I haven't received the refund yet even after 3 weeks. Customer service is even worse, no responsibility.

    Booked a ticket may 27th, called a week after without receiving my ticket… they said 24 hours… so called 48 hours later to wake up 2 days later to an email saying they cancelled my flight… When I was suppose to leave in 3 days they gave me 3 days to find alternate flights… and 21-28 days to get any of my cash back

    Thieves: Paid for to flights.332.00. The tickets were never issued. The airlines knew nothing of them. Had to purchase short notice tickers direct from the airlines $$. Airborntraveler issued a document saying I was to get a full refund. Called them many times. It is obvious now after three months that they have no intention of refunding my money for the tickets they never purchased in the first place.
    Do not use there scammers.

    Never received E-Ticket as stated in email. Called several times, every excuse was given. Computer system down, please call tomorrow. Let me transfer you... Hang up. Will be emailed in 24hrs.
    I Called Credit Card Fraud division, opened a claim against them.

    This is a scam. ticket never issued. I called them 19 times and every time they hang up after a minute. Finally they canceled it but i'm not sure i can get my money back. I called my bank to cancel this transaction.

They said there was a flight they couldn't book - of course didn't try to contact me. They said they would give me a full refund - after 3 MONTHS still waiting.     Omg I was scammed also, wish I has done my research before doing business with them, I am so pissed with them…I called them and ask the guy if they were scammers and he responded “yes Mam”, fu….g thieves. I am so mad, lost close to a $1000 with those thieves. DO NOT BUY AIRLINE TICKETS WITH THEM.

    Purchased a ticket for a flight a couple of weeks out, then ‘the afternoon before the flight’ an email shows up saying they’ve tried several times to reach me and if I don’t respond within 24 hours my flight may be cancelled but I would be reimbursed.

    I then call .. and call … and call … and eventually get through but am only able to leave a voicemail. Finally receive a call confirming they did not get me a seat on the flight as it was fully Booked.

    So Firstly, could they have not informed me earlier? The email was the ONLY communication received from them. No calls. No texts. Info provided was correct.

    And Secondly, what kind of business model is this? Are they playing silly bugger by gambling they’ll get a cheaper flight between the time you purchase and flight date? And if not, the Purchaser is s.o.l. ?

    Oh … and the refund has not been received yet. Over 6 weeks since date of purchase. Am now working with my credit card provider.

    This is a SCAM!!! I purchased a ticket at a lower price to Boise in April. I called to get my e ticket and they told me that the price had increased and if I wanted it I would have to pay $350.00 more! Really??? I called again and recorded the conversation. My husband is an attorney and will be investigating.

    I asked for a refund and will report this to BBB and authorities. My question-How is this site continuing to operate and take money from people?

    This company is a SCAM. I don’t even know how I got into their site. I thought I was buying from Spirit. They put me on standby without telling me. I told them I needed a regular ticket with definite seats. They told me I’d have to cancel that flight and buy another ticket. Which I did. 515.00 for each transaction. We got to take our flight but I never have received a refund for the first ticket. It’s been 2 months. I’m reporting it to my credit card company and asking them how to report this company as a fraud.

    I was scammed in exactly the same way. I thought it was the airline in Canadian dollars. I cancelled immediately and was told that my card wouldn't be charged. It was and three months and many phone calls later I'm still waiting for my refund, although I am assured that I've been approved and it is being given priority.

    I made a complaint to the credit card company re; these scammers. Hopefully the credit card company will pull the credit license and cards will not be processed here anymore. I guess I will have to wait for my refund from the credit card company in 60 days or so.

    The company is full of Shit! Asked for additional funds after charging my credit card 3 weeks ago! They pop up as the primary carrier, so you think you're booking on that carrier . I'm lucky enough to purchase another ticket in time for my trip, I will let the BBB know, and hopefully, the FBI will get involved!

    Sounds like I have been taken like the rest of you. Thought I was booking with WestJet in Canadian dollars, only realizing after the booking was complete that it was Airborn Traveler and I was charged in US funds. I Cancelled immediately, was sent a confirmation email from AT confirming my refund. That was 6 months ago, I've been calling and emailing on a regular basis, usually get disconnected or lied to. I suspect I'm out my $700+. I wonder if a complaint can be filed with Google, they are allowing this company to pose as the airline you think you are booking with.

    I booked a vacation for my family through Airborn traveler.com and paid the extra cancellation fee, turns out I had to use that option. I was given 4 refund dates. It's been a month now and still no refund. This site is a scam. Every time I called it sounded like they were taking the phone calls in the shower, could not understand what they were saying. My advice is book through the airline direct or a reputable travel site. Airborn Traveler is far from a legit site.

    Total scam, getting the same runaround as everyone else here, just got done reading their Terms and Conditions, no class action suits allowed, keep getting the same standard answer of "wait seven days for your refund", the best way to bring this company down is to get the word out to everybody out there avoid this site and this company at all costs

    Wish I would’ve seen this before I booked my tickets. Husband and I booked our tickets a month and a half ago for a trip out tomorrow. A few days before the flight, I get a sketchy looking email saying my booking has been cancelled and I will be refunded in 6-8 weeks (!?!)…. It was so sketchy I immediately thought it was scam and didn’t even put 2 and 2 together that this was actually the website I booked our flights through. It looks so legit when you book it and they even send you confirmation and a booking number… but the tickets never came. I called the airport and confirmed the flight was not cancelled, and although our names were there they had not received any funds from the travel company. It costed over double the price to book the same tickets due to late notice. I called this company and the first time they put me on hold and hung up, and the second time they said it was due to a “technical error” on their side and that they would issue a refund. He told me he would put in a refund request (why wasn’t this already done??) and sent me an email saying “as per our conversation we have cancelled your booking with no cancellation fee” and said it would take up to 2 billing cycles to refund my credit card. Yeah I don’t expect to see that money. The call centre was obviously far away, staticky and India or something somewhere.     Definitely a scam site. Do not know why Google is allowing this on their search platform. Had some fun with the very rude (and persistent at trying to get more money out of you) "clerk" who spoke poor English. We jerked him around a bit forcing him to hang up on us multiple times. Hope his day got worse.

    I am mad at myself for falling for this scam. I thought I was booking directly with my airline and these scammers took over the booking without me noticing. I should have been more observant. However, i got an email from them saying my credit card had been declined and my flight could not be booked. i called them to tell them i did not want to book with them in the first place and wanted an email saying the flight reservation was cancelled. The man was very rude hung up on my twice, but did send the email saying the flight request was cancelled for whatever that is worth. Since they had all of my information, I cancelled my credit card and ordered a new one. I am assuming they were going to use my card to make other purchases. My card was definitely in good standing, so they could have made many purchases. Just a hassle for me to have to get a new card and make a couple of account changes. Avoid these scammers. Zero stars.
