Rating:I’ve been contacted out of the blue by Altcrypt. They promised to recover find lost funds from another scam 2 years ago. This had to been done by buying £80 of crypto currency ( which I had no interest in doing) I had been burnt once already!
They have been very persistent but polite to take this payment in 4 different apps. When asked what this has to do with recovery of the monies I couldn’t get a sensible answer. They said this was necessary to convert the money from USD to GBP. Why they needed me to start up a crypto currency account I don’t know..
if they were a genuine recovery company they would recover the funds then deduct their fee before transferring it. The money is easily converted by the bank. This is a convoluted excuse to harvest my detail bank access to obtain money fraudulently. Do not trust their weasel words. It sounds plausible but thinking about it the hoops and hurdles they want you to go through is excessive. Unduly convoluted process is the trademark of fraud.
