    WARNING: BE VERY CAREFUL WITH AURELIUS MINT

    I am posting this to warn anyone who may be considering using Aurelius Mint (Aureliusmint.com) for buying, selling, or trading NFTs.

    Based on my personal experience, I believe this platform should be treated with extreme caution.

    After an NFT transaction, Aurelius Mint claimed that cryptocurrency proceeds were being held because of a supposed tax requirement. I was then told that I had to send additional cryptocurrency before I could withdraw the funds that were supposedly already owed to me.

    When I questioned the demand, I was given explanations involving Georgia tax law, federal requirements, "cross-chain" transfers, "smart-contract lockups," and an alleged IRS emergency mandate.

    I independently checked the legal and tax claims being made to me and could not find official government support for several of the laws, mandates, and directives they cited.

    The biggest red flag was this:

    I was told I had to send additional cryptocurrency to a wallet in order to unlock or withdraw my cryptocurrency.

    That is a classic warning sign of an advance-fee scam.

    I was also told that the additional payment would be required before my funds could be released and that the payment would not be refundable.

    ⚠️ My advice to anyone dealing with Aurelius Mint:

    DO NOT SEND ADDITIONAL CRYPTOCURRENCY simply because they tell you it is required to pay a tax, unlock funds, complete an audit, verify your wallet, or release your money.
