Rating:I placed a $165 order through Cali Weed Hub and was directed to complete the purchase through Telegram using Bitcoin. After my payment was confirmed, I was contacted by a supposed shipping company called Forward Express Logistics and told that my package was on hold until I paid an additional $130 in Bitcoin: $100 for "refundable insurance" and $30 for shipping.
These additional mandatory charges were not clearly disclosed to me before I paid for the order. When I refused the extra payment and requested cancellation and a refund, the seller said they do not provide refunds and claimed my package would only be delivered after I paid the additional fee.
The "shipping company" used a Gmail address, requested cryptocurrency payment to a second wallet, and described the insurance payment as refundable after delivery. I have not received the package or a refund.
Based on this experience, I believe this may be an advance-fee scam. I would strongly advise others not to send cryptocurrency or additional shipping/insurance payments without independently verifying the company first.
