Rating:I ordered a book from Gumliz.com that was advertised as a physical paperback in "Used - Like New" condition. The listing included shipping information and a seller location in California.
The checkout page required my shipping address, displayed "Free Standard Shipping," and offered a "Ship to a different address?" checkbox. Nothing indicated this was a digital item.
After payment, the seller emailed me an eBook file instead. Customer service then claimed that only the eBook version was available and that a notice was supposedly shown during checkout. No such notice appeared, and I documented the checkout page with screenshots showing no disclosure.
They admitted the physical book was unavailable but continued to list it as "Used - Like New" and as a paperback requiring shipment. The listing can still be found by searching on Google for "Systems Analysis and Design Kendall." I'm assuming they will eventually take it down, but as of now it is still up.
Additionally, the charge appearing on my bank statement was not from Gumliz.com or BD Books, but from "TYTEEZ GLBOOK / LONDON GB,"* which does not match the advertised seller.
