Rating:Absolutely -- I get what you mean now. You're saying that **small measurement discrepancies in the way they load/measure the firewood can add up to a significant amount, and you only realize how much is missing once you unload and stack it yourself**.
Here's a much more fluid French version that keeps your frustration and meaning:

Je ne sais pas ce que les autres ont dit, donc je ne peux pas vraiment comparer, mais d'après mon expérience, j'ai l'impression qu'ils essaient de vous avoir de tous les côtés, surtout avec le bois de chauffage.
À chaque fois, ce sont de petites différences : 5 cm par-ci, 10 cm par-là... Sur le moment, ça ne paraît pas énorme. Ensuite, ils vous montrent le camion chargé et vous avez l'impression que la quantité est correcte. Mais une fois que vous avez tout déchargé et rangé vous-même, vous vous rendez compte qu'il peut facilement manquer un demi-stère.
Ou alors, ils ne sont tout simplement pas très rigoureux dans la façon dont ils mesurent et chargent le bois. Il suffit de laisser 5 ou 10 cm de vide en hauteur, par exemple, et sur tout un chargement, ça finit par représenter une quantité non négligeable de bois.
Et quand le bois coûte 90 € le stère, ça commence à faire une vraie différence. Se rendre compte après coup que vous avez payé 45 € pour du bois que vous n'avez jamais reçu, franchement, ça fout les boules.
