This is truly a scam site and cannot be trusted. Probably have wasted my money. Will go through my credit card to dispute the charges but have little hope of success.

I called to cancel my reservations because I need to be in San Francisco and not Los Angeles, I made a terrible mistake on the city which my colleague identified. The call Ticket is 3587836 from Customer Care and Escalations support@garops.zendesk.com, they cannot cancel or change my booking.
I called Master Card to dispute this charge.

Rating:This is a scam. Appears you are booking directly with the hotel (in this care Mille Coline in Rwanda) but you are you booking through them-- unaware that you are being charged full amount at time of booking and that it is non-refundable. Called hotelvalues.com and I tried to change dates-- they told me I might be able to do that at the hotel and get refunded. I knew that wouldn't happen and insisted on talking to a supervisor. I was told "there is no supervisor". Then I had to cancel the reservation (corona virus). Called them, and hotelvalues cancelled the reservation. I was told that only if the hotel agreed to refund the money would I get paid. I called the hotel and they said they never received the money. Hotel replied by email to hotelvalues agreeing that I should get a full refund--especially since they never got their money! My credit card treated this as a fraudulent charge

Rating:I somehow booked thru this site and booked a nonrefundable room for Waste Expo May4 thru May8. I tried to cancel due to Waste Expo being moved out and COVID-19. I was told that in order to cancel with a refund that I had to contact the hotel and get a name in order to cancel. I contacted the hotel and redirected to Hilton due to the fact the hotel is not even open due to COVID-19 and no plans to reopen until 5/26. Hilton put me in contact with the hotel accounting department. The accounting department stated that the all 3rd source have been informed to refund all money when the customer contacts them, approved by the hotel. I have spent 2 hours getting this done. Currently on hold waiting for the confirmation of refund. Already have email that it was canceled. This place is a joke. I asked the first lady, You have heard of COVID-19 right? Her response was what does COVID-19 have to do with your cancellation. Where are these people from?

Rating:I'm having the same issues as those listed above. Appeared to be through the hotel directly but the hotel said it was not. There was a major fee hike that did not show until after the confirmed reservation receipt came through (after I gave my credit card info). Hotel said I had to do any cancellation with the company I set it up with (hotelvalues.com - which is not even an actual website). Rating:I was fortunate enough to be able to cancel my reservations and get a refund, but when I initially went to the site I thought to be the hotel I was looking for, this company came up when I clicked on "Reserve a Room". At booking, it added an additional $33 for taxes they estimated they would have to pay the hotel, and for resort fees, etc. and for their own service fees. I immediately cancelled, found the correct site and re-booked a room...for the originally quoted amount...no extra fees. I only gave it one star, because zero wasn't available.

Rating:Hi all, I have been trying to get my money back from these con artists via email and chat; needless to say all your comments suffice, they are an absolute disgrace and should not be dealing. I too thought I was booking with Hilton Edinburgh Airport direct when guest reservations popped up I assumed this to be part and parcel of the Hotel . . . . Oh how wrong! Tried calling and got through to Texas, another waste of time those people have been well groomed, keep them on the phone but ensure no money is refunded! Hotel cannot do anything because it was booked through a 3rd party and they don't have any dealings with these people they are just presented with a booking. Why are Hilton using these partners, I cannot get my head around why they would use companies in Texas etc!!!! And as already eluded to further up these email chains is the promise free cancellation and when the final bill is presented you are paying taxes etc which there was no mention of during the booking process. Hilton needs to do something about this. I am going to take this further to Hilton but feel we will just be faced with cannot do anything. Surely if these people are partners and their customers are being scammed then Hilton should take some responsibility!!!!!

Rating:Scam! I went to the hotel website to book the room at a discounted price. I was redirected and charge 40% more to my credit card and booked at the wrong location. Once I got to my hotel, after an hour on the phone with their fake customer service, the wrong hotel location agrees to cancel the non refundable reservation in order to rebook to the correct location but this group then claims it is non refundable and their “provider” will not allow cancel and rebook to the correct location. They keep the money they have charged the card while the hotel has already authorized a penalty free cancellation and I am stuck at the correct location with no reservation and out the money I paid. So had to pay a second time directly to the hotel. I called my credit card company and reported FRAUD

Rating:I booked a room at a small, independently owned hotel. I thought I was booking directly through their website, but I somehow got redirected to “Hotel Values” without being aware. I didn’t look closely at the confirmation email, so I didn’t see until I arrived at the hotel today that the bill includes a “reservation charge” of $90 for two nights. The room itself is only $157 a night! I called Hotel Values to ask about the charge. I did actually reach a human; she gave me some sped-up spiel about taxes and services (she sounded like the disclaimer on a drug commercial). She said she would take $44 off the charge “as a courtesy,” but I’ll believe that when I see it. I also called my credit card to dispute the charge, but there is nothing they can do, because Hotel Values did actually provide the service (booking the room) as promised. These people need to be stopped. I would give them negative stars if I could.

All the comments about appearing to be the bonafide booking site for the hotel and masking the additional fraudulent charges until it was too late to cancel the booking are true.
Even if they accept a cancellation request they will levee the ' tax' and booking fee and probably charge a cancellation fee as well.

Rating:Same story as most others. I am early on in the cancellation process so time will tell on my refund but I thought I was booking directly through Holiday Inn and a few days later noticed the ridiculous charge on my account. I called the hotel asking why they would charge my account when I made the reservation (FREE CANCELLATION up to 3 days prior to check in - February 2021) rather than when I arrived. She informed me that I booked through a 3rd party and would need to contact them about the charge! I immediately found the confirmation email and cancelled the reservation. Received an email confirming I cancelled and the funds would be returned. Something tells me that isn't going to happen so I have already filed a charge dispute with my bank. They charged me $690 when the actual hotel cost was only $454. - that's a fee of OVER 50% which was hidden until AFTER payment was submitted. SCAM.

And expensive lesson learned to use only by phone the better hotel reservations or legitimate sites like hotel com, booking.com, priceline.com and many others that are up front and honest with the fact there are additional reasonable fees and taxes for hotel rooms not a 40up% hidden fee. To talk to the hotel, I called the hotel directly and the manager was super nice and understanding. She said she will let me stay in the hotel with the dog. So I called back hotelvalues.com. to make a loooong story short. After being on hold for 40 minutes, waiting for a "manager" she was in a "meeting" the person that came to the phone was not professional at all, rude and must have been a friend of the other person I was talking to. They said they could not reinstate my reservation ones canceled to talk to the manager of the hotel to get a refund. I told them I dont want a refund. I want to stay at the hotel. I talk to the manager and she allows me to stay with the dog. They said their was nothing they could do. I lost 130dlls

Rating:Like others, i thought i was doing the right thing, post pandemic, and booking direct. March, for August travel. Needed to change due to lockdown in Melbourne, noticed the email was not from the hotel, looked online and saw all these scam comments. The hotel did have the booking, but i needed to cancel with the site - did so thinking "no way will i see those $ again".
BUT a day or two later, there it was back in my account. Close call..

Rating:I lost $1007 when I couldn’t cancel my reservation in Portugal after Covid alert sent out by US State Department. I, too, thought I was on the hotel’s website. Went through same ordeal as the above.

Rating:Like many people, I thought I was placing my reservation directly with the hotel. I don't know how or when I was linked to the scam site, because it was months later that I realized they had overcharged me by $136, with absolutely no way to get a refund or complain to customer service. Both hotelvalues.com and hotelreservations.com cannot be reached anymore, and the customer service number on the email is just an automated system that lets you cancel; no option for a refund or to speak with anyone directly. Complete scam, had to file a dispute with my credit card company, not sure if they'll actually do the right thing and refund me or not.

Rating:SCAM - $114 on top of hotel room. My wife thought that she was booking directly with the hotel but it was with this scam company. Did not find out until the reservation was made and she received an email form this company. SCAM!!!

Rating:SCAM!!! Avoid at all costs.
I'm usually so suspicious about scams but they hooked me by linking through Trivago with the hotel website. Looked legit so I went ahead, got an email confirmation which was twice the price I expected. Spent ages cancel, wasted time talking to a useless customer advisor who said he'd refund part of the amount. Scam website too. I feel stupid to have fallen for it. I'd give it no stars if I could
Surprised Trivago features it....

Rating:Has anyone successfully disputed these charges with their bank? Same thing happened to me $600 later. Is it worth my time to dispute?

Rating:Scam. I too thought i was ordering directly through the hotel. Choose different dates once the confirmation was received it had different dates. Scam..Called the hotel only to find out I needed to call hotelvalue..(scam)com. They did not answer on the cancelation line so i called back and went through the reservation line. They gladly ordered the room but said i could not receive a refund. Told them i was reporting them to everyone that would listen. The get zero stars.

Rating:I just got parlayed over to Hotelvalues.com and they took an additional $175 for tax recovery on a basic hotel room in Niagara Falls Ontario. No way to communicate to a live agent as it probably wouldn't help by the sounds of the previous reviews. I am now waiting for my RBC Mastercard rep to chat with which is the best way to resolve the fraudulent charge. CALL YOUR CREDIT CARD AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BEFORE IT GETS THROUGH THE PROCESS TOO DEEPLY WHICH MAKES IT MORE DIFFICULT FOR THE BANK TO HALT THE PAYMENT!!!! BUT....DO IT. CLOSE THE DOOR SHUT ON THIS ORGANIZATION. FRAUD AFFECTS US ALL BUT GET SMART ABOUT IT NOW AND FOR FUTURE PURCHASES......

Rating:I booked a room in Conrad Las Vegas. As I did not succeed in booking online, I saw a phone number in België (where I live). I called that number and thought to be in contact with conrad hotels. I was offered a much cheaper price and I accepted. It was a promotional price. I gave all my information about my master card and I got a confirmation but that came from "hotel values". Even during my phonecall I didn't trust it very much. But I was stupid. I discussed with my family and we blocked our master card immediately. Calling Conrad Las Vegas, they did not get a reservation. I hope that blocking my Master card within 2 hours as the solution to stop them from stealing money from my master card ! The website was fake, it said "guest reservations" for Conrad, but it was not Conrad.

Rating:Hotelvalues.com is a scam site. I am convinced they are specifically set up to scan people and they actually get away with grand larceny. I’ve actually read every review posted about this site and I totally agree with all of them. On August 20, 2023, I wanted to book a room at La Quinta in Davis, CA, for just one night in September. I thought, like other reviewers, that I was booking directly with the hotel. I got to the point in the reservation process where it asks you about payment. I put the CC information in but it got rejected, so I shut the page down and decided to try it the next day. Surprise, surprise! I got a reservation confirmation later during the day from hotelvalue.com. The had booked me for two nights instead of one and they had added more than $200 in fees and other expenses a they had immediately charged my card. I called the hotel and they told me I should call hotelvalue. Well, after trying for hours, I finally spoke to a supervisor who said she “unfortunately” could not do anything about it. I tried to talk to a manager at LaQuinta, but she was conveniently “unavailable”. I will dispute the charge with my credit card company.
BUT, seriously people, is there a group legal procedure that can be pursued?
