Unable to reach a live agent - reservations are made online but are non-refundable which is not prominently displayed. Rate qoted is $85 above what the hotel charges. This is truly a scam site and cannot be trusted. Probably have wasted my money. Will go through my credit card to dispute the charges but have little hope of success.

I agree, this is a scam. It appeared as the actual hotel's site. Lost $28 over what the hotel would have charged.

I experienced the same thing! They appeared as the hotel, rated 120 € charges without announcing that, I can reach nobody there, the hotel didn't even know them! I'll definitely try to draw my money back via my credit card and will pay the hotel directly.

This web site is a complete scam. It popped up when I thought I was on the hotels site directly and even though I closed the tab before it should have gone through it showed up a few minutes later as a confirmed transaction.

    Scam. Scam. Scam.

    Hi Reservations,
I called to cancel my reservations because I need to be in San Francisco and not Los Angeles, I made a terrible mistake on the city which my colleague identified. The call Ticket is 3587836 from Customer Care and Escalations support@garops.zendesk.com, they cannot cancel or change my booking.
I called Master Card to dispute this charge.
    Please cancel Reservation Confirmation #R1898812640.
    Thank you.

This is a scam. Appears you are booking directly with the hotel (in this care Mille Coline in Rwanda) but you are you booking through them-- unaware that you are being charged full amount at time of booking and that it is non-refundable. Called hotelvalues.com and I tried to change dates-- they told me I might be able to do that at the hotel and get refunded. I knew that wouldn't happen and insisted on talking to a supervisor. I was told "there is no supervisor". Then I had to cancel the reservation (corona virus). Called them, and hotelvalues cancelled the reservation. I was told that only if the hotel agreed to refund the money would I get paid. I called the hotel and they said they never received the money. Hotel replied by email to hotelvalues agreeing that I should get a full refund--especially since they never got their money! My credit card treated this as a fraudulent charge

Total scam operation. Charged me $%%.48 over what the hotel would have charged. It's set up to look like you are booking directly with the hotel, but you are shunted to this scam outfit.

I somehow booked thru this site and booked a nonrefundable room for Waste Expo May4 thru May8. I tried to cancel due to Waste Expo being moved out and COVID-19. I was told that in order to cancel with a refund that I had to contact the hotel and get a name in order to cancel. I contacted the hotel and redirected to Hilton due to the fact the hotel is not even open due to COVID-19 and no plans to reopen until 5/26. Hilton put me in contact with the hotel accounting department. The accounting department stated that the all 3rd source have been informed to refund all money when the customer contacts them, approved by the hotel. I have spent 2 hours getting this done. Currently on hold waiting for the confirmation of refund. Already have email that it was canceled. This place is a joke. I asked the first lady, You have heard of COVID-19 right? Her response was what does COVID-19 have to do with your cancellation. Where are these people from?

I then asked if I could change the date, no sir you will have to pay again to do that, well I must admit I lost it with them, totally unhelpful telling me it was on the booking telling me all this I did not see any of it. I also thought I was on the ramada hotel website not some company in the USA. Keep away total Rip off, cost when booked £53 when bill came through £77

SCAMMED ON 5/27/2020 @ 11:59 PM. RESERVED AT AROUND 9:00 PM THE SAME DAY, ON CONFIRMATION IT SAYS. "FREE CANCELLATION IN RED INK". BUT THEIR POLICY IS NO CANCELLATION. WHEN YOU CALL THEM THEY DO NOT IDENTIFY THEMSELVES AS A BOOKING COMPANY. AS IF YOU ARE CALLING THE HYATT HOTEL RESERVATION DESK.

A complete sham - I just spent $70 more for the Sundial in Sanibel than by going direct (and I thought I was going direct - nice trap). When I realized my error, I called within 30 minutes of booking, but was told everything is non-refundable. Let the buyer beware!

I'm having the same issues as those listed above. Appeared to be through the hotel directly but the hotel said it was not. There was a major fee hike that did not show until after the confirmed reservation receipt came through (after I gave my credit card info). Hotel said I had to do any cancellation with the company I set it up with (hotelvalues.com - which is not even an actual website). Their customer answer line sends me in circles or keeps me on hold forever with no actual person to speak with. Fuck these guys.

no phone number works - no emails work to contact anyone.
unable to cancel through the Hotel either - don't know if the accommodation was really booked.

I was fortunate enough to be able to cancel my reservations and get a refund, but when I initially went to the site I thought to be the hotel I was looking for, this company came up when I clicked on "Reserve a Room". At booking, it added an additional $33 for taxes they estimated they would have to pay the hotel, and for resort fees, etc. and for their own service fees. I immediately cancelled, found the correct site and re-booked a room...for the originally quoted amount...no extra fees. I only gave it one star, because zero wasn't available.

When booking online, my Hilton reservation switched to this site and was done through these guys. Thy will not let me cancel my reservation and when I call in to ask for the refund, the woman refuses to help, nor will she give her name, nor will she give me a supervisor's name. The additional taxes and fees on $750 were $350 which is outrageous. This company needs to be shut down and. the way they attack individuals is such a scam.

Still scamming. I, also, thought I was on the true Hotel web site when I booked a room. Unable to cancel original transaction. I was charged almost half again as much in “tax fee”, as cost of room. NEVER AGAIN. I will call hotel directly from here on out. SHAMEFUL behavior for a business. No stars, ever.

Hi all, I have been trying to get my money back from these con artists via email and chat; needless to say all your comments suffice, they are an absolute disgrace and should not be dealing. I too thought I was booking with Hilton Edinburgh Airport direct when guest reservations popped up I assumed this to be part and parcel of the Hotel . . . . Oh how wrong! Tried calling and got through to Texas, another waste of time those people have been well groomed, keep them on the phone but ensure no money is refunded! Hotel cannot do anything because it was booked through a 3rd party and they don't have any dealings with these people they are just presented with a booking. Why are Hilton using these partners, I cannot get my head around why they would use companies in Texas etc!!!! And as already eluded to further up these email chains is the promise free cancellation and when the final bill is presented you are paying taxes etc which there was no mention of during the booking process. Hilton needs to do something about this. I am going to take this further to Hilton but feel we will just be faced with cannot do anything. Surely if these people are partners and their customers are being scammed then Hilton should take some responsibility!!!!!

I got hit for $48.37 for taxes and fees. Call the outfit directly and really blew a gasket. It took me almost an hour for ranting and demanding to talk to a supervisor, manager, vice president or even the president before I badgered the female to refund my credit card for the charges. I couldn't believe this outfit. A true ripoff scam. Am I ever glad I keep close watch on my credit card.

Scam! I went to the hotel website to book the room at a discounted price. I was redirected and charge 40% more to my credit card and booked at the wrong location. Once I got to my hotel, after an hour on the phone with their fake customer service, the wrong hotel location agrees to cancel the non refundable reservation in order to rebook to the correct location but this group then claims it is non refundable and their “provider” will not allow cancel and rebook to the correct location. They keep the money they have charged the card while the hotel has already authorized a penalty free cancellation and I am stuck at the correct location with no reservation and out the money I paid. So had to pay a second time directly to the hotel. I called my credit card company and reported FRAUD

My experience mirrors the above. Very easy to think you are doing business directly with the hotel - until you see the huge 'service fee'. Why can't operators like this be shut down?

I went to a hotel website to book a room. Somehow the site was redirected after I selected my Arrival & Departure dates. I selected the room which was $59. I paid for the room & immediately got a confirmation email.

There was a $44.19 charge for Tax Recovery & Service Fees. There was also a statement included that the room was a nonrefundable.

When I hit REPLY to send a message, it showed that the email came from confirmations@hotel values.com.

I immediately looked up hotelvalues.com & was lead to this site as well as others indicating the site being a scam! HOW can this happen??? WHY are they still able to do this????

Scammed during a time of painful loss. Booked room for funeral, through website that I thought was Super 8. The hotel worked with us to try to find phone numbers for scammers and even attempted to call them themselves. No luck. How is this scamming outfit still in business after having scammed so many people?
