Mediagand.net is a fraudulent site that stole my credit card number and email. They charge a monthly subscription fee by piggybacking QR code payments.

My husband scanned a QR code at our local pool store to use their coupons. A strange site came up and he immediately clicked out of it. Then I found a charge for $1.95 with the company name of megafestivites.net attached to it. I called the number and was told that the charge came from mediagand.net was the company. I told them to discontinue the subscription. I guess we'll see if any more charges are made. I will contact my bank during business hours tomorrow as well.

I was trying to get a QR code and there info was on the screen too I accidentally clicked on there site and it told me it was 40.00 and it I had 3 days to cancel but I have a fraud alert on my account so I decided to get rid of my card just to make sure I don't get anymore charges cause they sent a 1.95 ping to my card and I had no idea they were doing it so I said no and I didn't want to take any chances so I blocked the number and come to find out it was them. Very deceptive business practice.

I just got scammed by Mediagand and realizes it was a scam too late, They have my email and credit card. I was directed to them by following a link to Compass Media Networks posted on DallasCowboys.com. Then via a link to Westwood One Sports.

I would like to know how and to whom I can report this and, MOST IMPORTANTLY, how to protect got out of this fix.

I don't know how they got my information but they did! I was charged $39.95 and luckily I questioned the charge on my credit card statement. I called and they said they would cancel and refund my money. We will see if they do.

Noticed charges on my account that from Consma.top . I called the number 844-781-1881. A person picked up and said I subscribed to Mediagand.net . They have my card information and have my email. I did scan a QR Code when I took my children to the Zoo and it may be related to that. I did not authorize or sign-up for this account. I never hear of them.

I noticed a charge to my CC on my bank statement that I did not recognize. There was a website and phone number that I didn't recognize either , so I called to find out what was going on. The woman I spoke to said it was for mediagand.net. Since I had no idea what this was, I told her this was a fraudulent charge and I expected a total refund. Totally my fault for not being aware of this before, but it ends up that this had been going on since July. I have several auto charges that are for things I use at school ,so I hadn't paid close enough attention to the charge. The lady said she would cancel the subscription and that I would refunded the entire amount within 3-5 business days. I guess we'll see if they stand up to their word. If not, I'll have to take more drastic measures.
