    Two Destink employees have falsely identified themselves as American Airlines employees.

    I am retired and haven't flown in eight years. On March 31 2025, I went to the Internet looking for flights to San Antonio, TX. An 800 number came up referencing the American Airlines (AA) name. I dialed that number assuming it was for AA and got this response. "Thank you for calling. Please continue to hold for the next available agent." A man soon answered giving the name "Patrick." I asked if this was AA and he confirmed. Believing I was talking with an American Airlines employee, I booked a (RT) flight to Texas. I stated I did not want economy seating as I have an issue with crowded/confined seating, and I previously had flown first class. He told me the flight had limited seating but I could get better seating in what he termed was the Main cabin. He said the "ticket price" was $720.36.

    I was surprised at the high cost but Patrick inferred the added cost was because I as was getting better seating. In fact he told me I was getting a $200 discount as the cost should be $900.
    From there Patrick started rushing things, telling me one seat was available. Not wanting the lose the flight, I accepted. After a flurry of rushed credit card and email paper activity, I thought all was done. But oddly, Patrick said at the end of our call that I would see the "price of the ticket" would be split on my credit card statement.???
