I purchased online a gimbal to use with my phone ... it had this as it's description, "The best smartphone gimbal in 2019-Super portable, wireless charging, 310g payload, mic jack, one-key switch, zoom and focus control." Two weeks later I received what is basically a 2 piece, plastic cellphone tripod ... maybe worth $5.00. When I contacted them they offered me a 10% refund and told me I could keep what they sent me. The past 2 days they have gone up to 20% and then 30%, but no offer to totally refund the purchase or send what I actually ordered. After posting a review on their Facebook page, I have heard from at least 3 other people who have had the same thing happen to them. This is a scam company.

Same here and got an offer of 20% refund for the two cheap plastic items that arrived instead of the advertised and paid for items. AU$53 for rubbish.

Same here, didnt even realize the crap i received was meant to be the gimbal! I shall be reporting them to paypal and requesting a full refund via the paypal resolution centre. Most definetely a scam. Facebook should vet advertisers and carry some responsibility for subjecting us to this kind of shit!

Ispringfish continue to advertise through social media platforms and fail to deliver the product as promised. This company scams people and wont refund the money after weeks of attempts. Someone should shut them down. They recently advertised a phone gimbal and like the others on here sent some cheap plastic product.

    Hello Brian,

Andi here from Shopify’s Risk Operations Team.

Thank you for your patience while we were working hard to get to you as well as for providing these details about the shop you ordered from.

We understand that not receiving goods paid for can be a frustrating affair indeed and with that we truly sympathize. However due to Shopify’s nature as a platform we cannot interfere with how stores operate or force refunds.

Each store on Shopify is it’s own business and we do not have the power to manage their business for them. A good analogy would be to think of asking the owner of a shopping mall to refund a product bought from a store leasing space within the shopping mall. With this being said, we recommend that you first attempt to reach out to the merchant to inquire about your order or shipping times.

If you are unable to communicate with the merchant, there are also processes in place with your bank for these situations for you to get your money back. I recommend speaking to your bank, credit card company, or PayPal (depending on how you transacted your order) and notifying them of the transaction and any issue you are encountering. They should then be able to begin an investigation with the aim of retrieving your funds.

Regrettably we cannot give updates or information about individual stores as this breaches our Privacy Policy and can lead to erosion of the review process. We do track and monitor complaints of this nature and take action where appropriate.... Read more
